Purpose:
This two- or three-day workshop utilizes select BSCAI manuals and appropriate videos focused on the basic aspects of custodial operations, including account management, supervising services, and using custodial estimators effectively. The host NPA can schedule two or three days to suit specific needs
Audience:
This workshop is intended primarily for lead workers, supervisors, job coaches, and others involved in day–to-day custodial operations who need to understand the basics but are not ready to take the RBSM examination. A minimum of 20 attendees are required for this workshop.
Format:
The first section of the workshop is a combination of lecture, videos, and exercises based on the manuals developed by BSCAI and NISH. The afternoon of the last day, participants will take a written examination based on material covered in the manuals and training session. Participants should allow sufficient time to receive and review manuals to gain maximum benefit of the workshop training. Participants should also bring their own calculators for the written examination. The RBSM authorized Facilitator, Mickey Crowe, may be reached at ccrowe@nish.org or 678-581-7283.
