What the Training Program Offers
The NISH Academy for Leadership, Performance, and
Development provides training and learning resources
to members of the AbilityOne community, including:
CLASSROOM COURSES provide participants with formal
instruction in a structured setting using a variety of
instructional methods. Classroom courses are offered
nationwide throughout the year. See CLASSROOM COURSES for course descriptions.
DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND eLEARNING courses are delivered through the NISH Academy and
other training providers. These programs focus on
professional development and business topics that
support NPA needs. Please refer to DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND E-LEARNING for more information.
ON-SITE WORKSHOPS provide hands-on training
available to organizations with AbilityOne Program
contracts (AbilityOne producing NPAs) and are taught

support AbilityOne initiatives. To share a suggestion or
discuss a particular training requirement, contact the

The training offered by NISH is one of the best
professional development programs available.
Participants pay no registration fees for the worldclass
training offered by the Academy—whether in the
classroom or on the Internet.
For classroom events, NISH negotiates reduced room
rates with hotels. To receive the NISH rate, participants
must reserve rooms under the group name "NISH
Training Program" by the hotel reservation deadline
indicated in each course brochure. NISH cannot
guarantee negotiated rates after the deadline, so please
contact the hotel promptly to qualify for the group rate.
