NISH Academy Online

NISH offers more than 300 eLearning courses at no cost. These Internet-based courses cover a wide variety of topics and allow NISH training participants to access high-quality learning opportunities at their convenience, without travel or time lost away from home and the office. The NISH Academy offers:

Who Can Join

All NPAs associated with NISH or NIB are eligible to use the eLearning system. The staff and members of the Committee for Purchase, as well as NISH and NIB staff, are also welcome to use the NISH Academy Online.

How to Join

Start courses immediately just by creating a learner account:

1. Open a Web browser to the NISH Academy Online at www.nishacademy.org

2. Select the option to “Create My Account.”

3. Complete and submit the form. Please provide all requested information. A correct and functioning e-mail address is required as course registration confirmations and cancellations are communicated via system e-mail.  (After creating an account, the student will receive an e-mail with a default password. After the initial log-in, each student will be prompted to change the default password.)

4. NISH verifies the learner’s eligibility to participate in our training programs within 24 hours. .

5. A detailed guide to registration is available at www.nishacademy.org or www.nish.org.

New Line of Business eLearning Course for 2008

A training and certification course is now offered to NPAs with mail center operations contracts. The course was designed by the NISH Center of Excellence for Mail Center Operations for new and current Mail Clerk I employees who need to gain and update the knowledge of duties, responsibilities, and safety measures associated with their work and their work environment.

Custodial Courses with ISSA

The International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) provides eLearning courses valuable to the custodial industry. Through an agreement with NISH, staff of NISH associated NPAs may complete courses at no cost. To review the current course selection, visit the ISSA Learning center at http://66.70.65.165/issa. To register for a course, e-mail distancelearning@nish.org.

Harvard’s ManageMentor Curriculum for Executives

More than 30 eLearning courses and online resources designed for those in organizational leadership positions are available to NPA executives. These courses are not available through open enrollment.
