NISH is a national nonprofit agency that creates employment opportunities for people with significant disabilities. We accomplish this through a national network of more than 550 nonprofit agency partners to fulfill contracting needs for the Federal Government, commercial businesses and government contractors. We enhance and complement the capacity and capability of community-based nonprofit agencies so more people with disabilities have jobs and the contracting needs of our nation are achieved.

NISH also created the Institute for Economic Empowerment to conduct research, demonstration, and develop projects to make important progress toward the strategic goal of full and fair employment for individuals with significant disabilities, particularly those facing the most significant disability-related barriers to employment.

It's Working – more than 131,000 people with significant disabilities are employed through NISH nonprofit agencies.
