Resources are the content of your extranet. They are the documents and links you submit, the messages you post, the events you track, and so on. By adding resources, you are contributing to the content of your site.
Resources can be the following types:
Documents — Documents are external files submitted to your site. They can be presented in any number of formats, including HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Adobe Acrobat.
Links — Links are shortcuts to different locations or resources. A link can be a reference to another page, document, or even an external web site.
Images — Images are pictures that appear on a page.
Discussion messages — Discussion messages are conversation topics that you can start or they can follow or respond to an existing topic.
Events — Items that you can put in calendars to track and manage schedules.
Reports — Reports are spreadsheets that contain information about how your site is working.
Products — Items that are listed for purchase in a site catalog.
